Farmers who normally pump water from boreholes using windmills are dependent on wind which is not always a reliable power source. You can connect a submersible borehole pump to your windmill cylinder. Operating the submersible pump is independent and does not need any changes to the windmill connection.

To overcome weak wind conditions, switch your electric submersible pump on. The reason for installing the Elsumo bypass is to ease the operation of the windmill (the water passage through the submersible pump is very confined and creates high friction losses - the windmill cylinder will cavitate and cause damage to the whole installation).

The Elwiwa bypass allows the water to enter into the cylinder through its suction port and through the submersible pump. If no wind is blowing and you switch on your electric pump unit, a non-return valve inside the inline bypass closes automatically and water enters through the suction of the submersible pump, which is now ready to supply water.

The inline bypass is a cost-effective solution that makes you independent from wind and allows you to pump water whenever needed.
